Dr. Erica Martin, C. Psych.

Dr. Erica Martin is a registered Clinical and Forensic Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She obtained her Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, and completed both her Masters and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology at York University. Prior to joining our clinic, she was employed at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences as a forensic psychologist, conducting both assessment and therapy with individuals who have severe and persistent mental illness and who have been found Not Criminally Responsible (NCR). Dr. Martin has worked in a number of settings, including community agencies, general hospitals, student mental health centres and mental health facilities. She has primarily worked with adults with a variety of presenting problems including mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis, stress-related disorders, anger, trauma, relationship difficulties, substance use, personality and interpersonal difficulties, and loss and grief. Dr. Martin is also skilled in the areas of forensic/violence risk, cognitive, personality, diagnostic, and motor vehicle accident-related assessments.


Dr. Martin strives to develop a safe, nonjudgmental space in which to explore life’s challenges. She encourages individuals to turn their wounds into wisdom, and to find the courage to take steps toward happiness and inner peace. In life, we cannot change the direction of the wind, but we can learn to adjust our sails to ultimately reach our destination (~Jimmy Dean~).
